A sanctuary in the Swedish forest.

We welcome you to Bredsjö Herrgård

The grand dining room, built in 1903 at Bredsjö Herrgård

Built in 1903, Bredsjö (Nya) Herrgård has lived many lives. Born from the industrial spirit of Bergslagen, its walls have witnessed generations of gatherings, celebrations, and creative expression. Through each chapter, it has remained a place where people come together.

Today, we are shaping its next chapter as a sanctuary for human connection and shared wisdom. Whether joining us for a peaceful stay, a retreat, or a gathering, you are invited to slow down, immerse yourself in nature, and connect through meaningful conversations and shared experiences.

Our journey to Bredsjö began in 2017, when we left California for Morocco, where our son Ian was born. In 2020, we moved to Sweden, Erika’s mother’s homeland. Living in different parts of the world has taught us many things, but above all, the value of human connection and how much we can learn from one another.

When we discovered Bredsjö Herrgård in 2025, we fell in love with its history, natural beauty, and sense of community. We feel grateful to be caretakers of this special place and to help shape its next chapter.

Our dream is to bring to life a sanctuary where guests feel at home, share stories and wisdom, reconnect with nature, and leave with fresh perspectives and inspiration.

With open hearts and minds, we warmly welcome you.

Guest Reflections

“A true gem inside and out! Set in gorgeous surroundings overlooking the lake, it really feels like a place that invites you to pause, enjoy, and charge your batteries. The house is full of charm and the sauna by the lake is exactly what you'd wish for. Don't think twice, just book it and look forward to it.”

“Recently back from a fantastic getaway weekend at Bredsjö Herrgård and I will definitely return to this magically peaceful property nestled between forrest and lake. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get there without a car from Stockholm and getting picked up at the bus station, upon my arrival, by Marc was just the beginning of their full service. If I could give more than 5 stars for the breakfast, I would. Great destination to rest and recharge, in my opinion.”

“Fantastic place in Bergslagen run by the incredible Marc and Erika! Warm and genuine. Worth one or more visits to relax, get away from the screen and enjoy the peace. Highly recommended!”
